 PuTTYTel You can download PuTTYTel from here (http://the.earth.li/~sgtatham/putty/latest/x86/puttytel.exe) PuTTYTel is a telnet only version of PuTTY, its a little smaller, and will suit the needs of playing POD perfectly. PuTTYTel is small enough to fit on a regular diskette, so you can take it with you where ever you want. Anywho, here is how to download and set it up: 1) Click the download link above and select 'Save to Disk' if you are using IE. I dunno what you do in Mozilla or Netscape(Cuz i dont use em), but im sure if you are using one of those, you know what to do.  2)After you have picked a proper place to save it to, and have opened it, you should see something like this:  3)In the 'Host Name' text box, enter: podmud.com 4)In 'Port', enter: 5429 5)In the box just below the words 'Saved Sessions', enter: POD 6)Click the Save button, you should have something that looks like this:  7)On the left side, Click 'Terminal' and make sure your screen looks exactly like this,with everything set the same:  8)Now click 'Session' on the left side and Click 'Save'. 9)To connect all you need to do is double click on the word 'POD' in the Big text area. (Optional) Changing your default text color from gray to green(like in zMud) 1)Open Putty, click ONCE on 'POD' and Click 'Load'. 2)On the left, click Colours (its under Window) 3)Select 'Default Foreground' in the option box, and click 'Modify' 4)On the right side of the window, set the following:
 5)Click 'Add to Custom Colors' 6)Select the color that jsut appeared in the top left of the Custom Colors area. 7)Click 'OK' 8)Select 'Session' on the left 9)Click 'Save' |
